I can always appriciate a good effort like that on what looks like a straight road haha Lucky you drive a modern car looking at the damage!

Glad you're ok mate, i was in a nasty crash earlier this year, you'll spend a long while thinking about how much worse it could have turned out i'm sure!

Go hunt down a lupo TDi ;) or 6n2

If you see the first picture the way the car is facing, i was travelling the opposite way, before there is a right hand bend that goes up hill, so suspension compresses when you go up it and decompresses near the top.

I find suspension decompressing while not in control rather.... well pretty crap to be honest.

My dad has a corner like this near his house and I remember him telling me a couple years ago to be careful on it.

this was going through my mind while crashing.

Yeah a lupo tdi would be good.

Or theres an arosa tdi on airbags for sale on volkszone that looks pretty sweet.

so what actually happened? just back end got light did it or what? glad your ok mate. its because them foxs are top heavy you rolled probably :p was it at slow speed then? as it looks like she tipped and skidded not rolled??? your going modified after a smash like that? fair play to you :D

looks like lift off oversteer and the profile of the car has just made it skid on its side instead of roll over. thing is not only are fox's top heavy, there stupidly high and have a serious amount of suspension travel which would make lift off much easier, after all they were built for urban use and not designed for uneven country road.

At least it held up well and your here to tell us about it.

Right well, back end went light as if it;d locked up turning right so i full locked left, gained traction thought i'd saved it but hit the bank did like a 180, then fell over on the side and hit a tree with the side of the car, while the side was sliding down the road my arm fell out the window i think and got gravel rash, got bloody everywhere some how on my foot, so was stuck in the car, thought passanger door was jammed locked so i started trying to kick windscreen out but then tryed door again and i wasnt pushing hard enough. pushed open with my foot and left a nice bloody footprint on the window jumped out.

ran to the nearest house which luckily was about 5 mins run away phoned police rac and mum and tied some high vis's to car until police arrived.

saw ambulance which arrived 25 mins after accident only to be accused of taking phet because my pupils were dilated and not given much help at all.

sat with police they breathalised me, I explained i'd been helping a friend out in his takeaway and had been drinking red bull so that'd probably be why my pupils were huge also maybe because i'd been awake a good 18 hours with only 6hrs sleep the previous night.

they were fine with that didn't really ask much more, got recovered made the recovery guy a cuppa and let him take me car to the depo.

Just about to phone insurance now see what'll happen.

Modified, well maybe if i get something so low it wont get top heavy and roll!

haha get a saxo with 120mm drop on back and non on front like all the chavs round here do haha. your a lucky lad.

lol, i agree, good effort!

glad you're ok, some lass near me had an accident the other day and didn't make it :( she was only 18... remember to drive careful 24/7

funny thing is that none of them bother adjusting the bias valve on the rear axel when they do it, so the rear brakes dont work properly as the valve thinks the car is fully loaded.

buy a one litre mk5, your insurance will need it. . . .

however, you rolled a fox. You need more of a challenge next time.

Whoops!!

Could of been a lot worse though, think if your arm would of got trapped under the car whilst sliding :-o ouch

Ouch, unlucky man :(

Glad you're okay though!

ye they lower them 120mm then strip interior out hahahaha.... ye you need to try and roll a lowered mini now haha

I didn't think them foxes could go quick enough to roll over?

Serious note, glad you're ok though.

sounds like lift off oversteer to me. did sometihng similar in my old mini.. just went way too fast into a roundabout, some of the blame needs to go on like a jump in the road btw :p and the back end just shot out and then snagged and hit a curb. basically pulled the rear subframe off that car. got a polo now, the heater works in it.. i like it :)

fox attacks kids

fox attacks at school

you trying to get your own back by killing one lol

seriously though glad your ok could have been worse but you got lucky

should polish out 8-)

7/10 good effort

Hahaha rating it now

Presentation was great, the ingredients where nice but not fully executed in my opinion, i just fell that the fox roll main course was lacking "roll" for want of a better word. But overall, a nice effort indeed, thats why I'm going to score it an 8 :-)

'Come crash with me', channel 4 should take note
