Comments: Just come out the paint booth so figured id better start show and telling.

Bought the GT from zondav on here a while back and have spent the last 4 months or so getting the engine running absolutely on the button, and have now just preped and painted it with a mate of mine.

Plans from now on are......

Box out the boot into a really simple bootbuild.

Fabricate/buy some door pods to mount my components in.

Have a go at retriming the interior, possibly red leather or imitation.

Get hold of some original ATS Classics to refurb for the summer.

Fettle with the engine, IE port and polished head, TB and inlet manifold, de wedged the TB also, 421 manifold, Golf AFM and hopefully a more aggressive cam and chip.

Thats all the plans for now but as I'm sure you all know ideas just sort of pop out of nowhere, so ill add them as they do.

Anyway heres some photos of when i got it home.

And heres today after paint, excuse the odd wheels, as the steels are still being sanded and painted at the moment.

Little update, bought a new headunit for polo today. Pioneer DEH-P7600MP. a bit old school but in my opinion one of the best units of its times, and still alot better than any halfauds shite available today. And as it has the IP-BUS connecter i can still use my ipod, RESULT.

Looking good dude! Looks alot better now it's been painted than when I saw it!

Steels alright?!

looks a minter mate good work keep it up :D

i didnt do it, but its literaly sheet welded in then smoothed over with filler, simple if you got the kit and the skills.

Haven't up dated this in ages as al I seem to have been doing is fixing everything that brakes, but now the polo has had a new everything. its stopped breaking long enough to get some money together for some decent wheels.

Picked a set of revolution 5 spokes up few weeks ago and have just finished getting them under the arches.

Unfortunately just couldnt get them to sit right, because i had to space them at the front to clear the calipers and i didnt have enough room to space the backs :(.

So sold them to a chap with a coupe as he could get them sitting just right.

However. very fond of the replacements :D
