Hi,

I’m selling my 1984 Golf Gti 1.8 8v (very early mk2 / A reg) in Mars Red. In good and unmolested original condition. Great example of a much loved classic, only 116,000 on the clock.

Drives great and has been a very reliable car, mechanically sound and has never let me down. Comes with original Pirelli P-Slot alloys with all centre caps and includes new Kenwood CD Player with ipod connection.

Taxed until end October 2010 and MOT’d until early May 2011.

I have owned the car since Jan 2009 and have had the following mechanical work done. (All with receipts to show):

96,212 – Gear linkage serviced, bushed replaced and greased/adjusted.

96,859 – Sump gasket, rocker cover gasket and both rear wheel bearings replaced, new filter & oil.

103,570 – New rear brake Callipers, new handbrake cables, replaced brake fluid and bled.

103,000 – Cambelt and camshaft oil seal replaced. New filter & oil. Also underbody, inside arches and engine bay waxoiled.

Also have some earlier service history/receipts etc. from before I owned the car.

The only bad points to point out are the usual rip in the drivers seat bolster (still original upholstery) and a few minor car park dints and scratches as to be expected from a 26 year old car, however bodywork and underside are all solid with no rust.
