Well, got back from this earlier on, had a great time and a much-needed break. Had an-all round awesome weekend, saw loads of great cars including some nice Polos... also, if it was any of you lot shouting "Loons FTW!" at me as I was leaving, really sorry I didn't respond. It took me a moment to register the fact that someone had actually noticed my (completely stock) daily driver. Saw quite a few cars I recognised off here over the course of the weekend. :)

Cruised down on the Friday with some mates. We arrived just in time to see this lovely sunset over the pod:

Next day, the daily driver concours...

A wander to the strip and pits...

Amazing how different the concept of a "custom pick up" is to different people... not a slur on the Wedge by the way, I liked the paintjob in a sort of "I wouldn't own it though" way!

Then, as the sun began to go down, the cars came out to play...

By far the biggest cheer of the night was had by this:

Next morning, a pootle off to the strip to see what was happening...

Then off to the bank to get pics from the other side...

Then, off to the concours... some properly nice metal here!

Car of the show for me? Oddly, it wasn't on the strip or in the concours, it was in the For Sale area. A semi-auto Ghia. There was just something I absolutely loved about this car, and if I had the folding I'd've bought it then and there. Sadly it'll be a while before I can afford something like this!:

All in all, a great weekend.

Yeah, sorry again - was a bit tired, and you caught me completely by surprise. By the time it clicked, I was already quite far away. So I'd've ended up waving back at nobody, which would have made me look even weirder.

can't remember what it ran but it was fucking quick, it looked like he broke it tho, it had to be pushed off the line twice before going back to the pits without running

we watched this set fire going up the strip, we chatted to the owner of it latter on and he thinks it's because some left over nitrous in the intake ignited, he said he shit his self when he looked behind him and saw flames shooting out the engine cover
