Hi guys, I'm new on here so hello. Just got my polo recently, got it for pretty cheap, saved up for best part of a year as i wanted to be able to pay the insurance off in one hit and have some cash to spend making it look tidy. I've had it about a month and have started some minor mods, I want to keep the look of the car but make some changes to smarten it up a bit and get the sound system sounding crystal clear but not bass heavy.

mods so far:

Double Dinn head unit with blue tooth.

Full clifford alarm with vicinity sensors.

Jl Audio c3 components front

Jl Audio Amp to amp the speakers

Shark fin ariel

Light tints

Alloys.

Mods planned/in production:

Extra JL Monoblock amp for new subwoofer

Rockford fosgate slim sub and custom enclosure (fibreglass0

Boot build for amp enclosure. (in progress)

New 6x9's

Stealth Shelf

Smooth bumpers (rear bumper already purchased, awaiting delivery then need to fill it, smooth it and prime it)

Possibly lowering springs or coilovers (want something which will make the car look better but dont want to sacrifice the ride confort???)

Soundproofing (under bonnet, wheel arches, boot e.t.c)

Possibly reuphoulstering the seats and carpets

Colour coding the badge

Removing the key mark down the side.

Any help or advice would be appreciated guys.

i wouldnt worry about sacrificing ride comfort, my budget coilies Rokkor provide a fairly decent ride but they dont like bumps but then i do blame that on my tyre profile

Nice to meet you mate, thanks for the reply. yeah I've heard mix reviews not sure if coilovers or standard lowering springs give a better ride.found some coilovers on eBay for like 150 but koney springs were even cheaper.thing with springs is I'm likely to decide I want it more slammed after the first hit.what's a decent amount which won't make me feel every bump or make the tyres

rub on the arches. Purpously got 15 Inch alloys and tyres that aren't too low profile so think I should be ok but not had much experience in lowering ad this is my first modded car. Any advice is appreciated :)

well from my own experience i prefer coilovers, but thats just me it also depends with you are coilies how low you go as to how much comfort u will get. what profile tyres are u running as anything more than 50 profile on a set of coilovers could cause problems.

I like the colour! Bear in mind you can adjust the coilovers to accommodate different tyre sizes.... dont just slam your car for the sake of it!
