Wanted: Mk2F/MK3 Polo Mono-Injection from 1.3

Featured Replies

EDITED with help from cymro:

I need the Single Point Injection setup from a 1.3 mk2f/Mk3 polo. After reading a bit more on the forums - looks like engine code AVV 1272cc SPI parts....

I think this comprises of the ECU, Throttle Body, with injector and airfilter, Lambda sensor and any associated wiring.

Thanks for your help

Rich

You wont get any of that as it doesn't exist for that model.

What you are looking for is the SPI (single point injection) system from a mk2F(also known here as a mk3) which is registrations between 90-94.

If you are doing the injection conversion then you would also need the dizzy, coil pack and the entire engine loom

You may also need the inlet manifold.

Thank you - I am a little new to the polo ! Oops !

I will be fitting to a different engine - so wont need the polo inlet manifold, but will need the throttle body etc...

I'll just have a look through the forum pages to see if i can find out exactly which bits i need - Thanks for the help so far Cymro - Much appreciated and please bear with the newb!

i have a full engine bay wiring loom (everything to the fuse box) and ECU for one.

might have a distributor. and i had a inlet manifold and throttle body too. will have a hunt for them if your interested.

Very very interested -

I basically need to bolt the SPI onto a different engine - i've read up lots about the mono-jectronic so think it should electrically be possible, as the injector is mimicking a dual throat carb essentially, and does it's tuning of the engine through the Lambda sensor, so as long as you can get it close enough to start it it will earn what it should be from scratch, as when you disconnect the battery it re-learns the setup (which is quite usefull)

I don't suppose you have the lambda sensor aswell do you ?

I also need a haynes manual for the polo (although i don't need 90% of it - just the electrical bit !) I thought there was one online???

Def let me know how much you want for it and any pikkies would be great although i don't need the inlet manifold as it won't fit on the engine I'm using... but the throttle body is essential

Does the SPI have a temp sensor in the POLO - i know the fiat version does...

Thanks Genesis GT

yeah will have a lambda sensor too.

would want £30 posted for the full engine bayloom and ECU
