Mk3 VW Golf Cabriolet, Colour Concept

Very Rare, Japanese Import, 53,000 miles!

For Sale is my 1996 (P) Mk3 Golf, Colour Concept Convertible in Jazz Blue. For those of you who know me or the car, you’ll know that it is well loved and well looked after! It’s not a car I really want to sell, but due to starting University this September, I have to part with it.

This is actually a very rare model in the UK, as VW didn’t do a Colour Concept on the Convertibles in the UK until the 3.5 came out. They did do CC’s though, in the US and Japan, so you can be pretty sure, you probably won’t see another genuine edition like this in the UK.

It’s got a 2.0 8v engine that has had a lot of care and attention, and has been very recently serviced. It’s an auto-box which changes extremely smoothly, with no clutch slippage or clunking etc… and one of the best bits about the car for its age is its Genuine mileage – 84,911km, which in our terms is 52,761 miles! (This is due to increase slightly as the car is used daily).

There is a huge amount of documentation with the car, both in English and Japanese.

Tax is on the car until November 2010 and MOT until February 2011.

The interior of the car is absolutely awesome, and very comfortable, with matching blue and black leather seats, door cars, pillars and trim, all of which is unmarked, and very clean. The spec list is also pretty good, without a spare space on the dash;

AC

Electric Roof

Heated Glass Rear Windscreen

Electric Windows (Front & Rear)

Heated Seats (Front)

8 Speaker Stereo

Pioneer Head Unit

Front Fogs

Japanese Orange Sidelights (They’ve been customised by me – see pictures)

Maxx-1 Hornet Alarm System (Registered Thatcham Cat1), with engine immobilisers, proximity, sound, and tilt sensors. The car also has remote central locking and you can program the key-fob to control parts of the car like closing the windows etc…

The exterior of the car is also in very good condition. Wanting to be very open and honest, there are a couple of light scratches on the bodywork, but nothing to be concerned about. The car has been fully HPI checked both here and in Japan and the car is straight, having never been in any accidents or trouble. The roof is electrically & hydraulically operated and works smoothly and quickly. It has been professionally treated and doesn’t leak at all. The roof also comes with black leather hood cover for when the roof is down.

A Genuine US/Japanese Spec tailgate really finishes off the rear end and IMO, looks much better than UK tailgates! I have been told by numerous people that this part alone is worth a lot of money in the UK, so before anyone asks, I won’t be splitting that.

The car has been fitted with FK coilovers to enhance handling and the overall look of the car, and it also has 16” Brock B2 Alloy wheels. These are staggered 8” & 9” wide. Toyo Proxes are the tyre of choice and these were brand new in late July (doing less than 800 miles), along with a full 4-wheel laser alignment by PSI Tuning. The car drives fantastically and guarantees to put a smile on the face of whoever buys the car! The car will also come with the standard 15” BBS Solitudes and 2 spare, brand new tyres.

I start Uni next Monday (20/09/2010), and would ideally have it sold by then, so feel free to make sensible offers. You never know! Offers by phone/text/email/PM only please :)

This really is an UBER clean Golf, and completely Unique in the UK! Grab an awesome car, with no work needed. The car really turns heads, and can be left as it is, or customised further to your own preference.

BUY ME! :D
