Alright folks!

Will be shortly rebuilding my gearbox and I'm after a manual to aid with torque settings ect, I'm aware there is no haynes for my 16v but I'm guessing the mk4 polo one will do the job as the boxes on the polo's are common accross the range.

I have looked through past recepts which I got with my car and its currently running on a 1999 lupo 16v gearbox so would I be better getting the mk5 polo manual.

Any help would be much appricated.

Well, I would first check the gearbox code on the actual gearbox itself. Then get the corresponding Haynes manual.

Haynes manual does not have a section about gearbox repair. So, it does not help you, but this helps:
