1.4 8v polo 6n dragon green £650ono

Featured Replies

hi guys, as I'm back off to uni next week, and need the funds ASAP (my course is damn expensive!) i am putting my 6n up for sale. bought it in march (i think!) with the intention of going all out on it over the summer. but now unfortuantely it is up for sale! needs must!

R reg

taxed and MOT untill jan 2011

coming up to 105,000 miles

loads of history from myself and previous owners

1.4 8v engine (DQW) really low on the insurance and tax

Gearbox, clutch, discs and pads all round, replaced in june

new oil, oil filter, K and N filter (not induction) spark plugs and Leads replaced in july

new front wheel bearings replaced in mid august

new phillips bulbs (the really bright ones cant remember what they are but they set me back about 25 quid)

areo blade wipers

6n2 rear lights (will include standard lights in sale)

clear front indicators and side repeaters

16v rear bumper

lowered on the front by i would say 70mm rear is standard (done by previous owner not me )

14in radar sport alloys (i think that these could have been an oem option? going off the basis that i have seen alot standard of mk3 golfs and 6ns with them on) with 4 good tires

pressed plates with wolfsburg plate surrounds (standard plates inc in sale

de wipered rear

stickers on the rear window, (can be removed v.easily)

really good pionneer head unit, aux cable, usb, mp3 cd, retailed at £180

overall the body work is in decent nick apart from some surface rust on the sills and 2 small dents, one on the drivers wing that is tiny and another on the passenger door which is also small. it has a few scuffs and chips to the paint work but i will try and take these out before the sale.

now to the bad points (these are very minor and i have been told that they are common faults with 6ns)

the electric windows do not work as well as the sunroof (could be the motors or even just a fuse?)

the blower motor for the vents needs replacing (iv seen them for 12 quid on ebay literally just unplug the old one and install the new one)

cd player stopped working (all on the same fuse as the windows so could be the problem?)

taking all of this into account i am looking into the region of £550 with small effort and very little money could be turned into a nice little first dub for a new driver, or even just a cheap daily! based in north northumberland (Alnwick area) but willing to drive to newcastle area.
