sounds good to me, where?

Aberdeen...?

If we have another Aberdeen meet we'll need to make sure it's not just wasting time deciding what to do haha

Bowling and some food, then dependant on weather either park up at the beach ballroom or one of Aberdeen's wonderful multi-storeys sounds like enough of a plan to me, discuss?

Also, 5th November? Worth having a meet in between? That's ages away haha

Could do a mini-meet mid-October for the usual suspects?

Keep me posted, i'll prolly show my face again. And this time i'll not get lost. :/

Anyone fancy meeting this month?

why are they always so far up north?!

because its the Scottish meet, that is so far up North

i meant up north in Scotland.

I'd say most of our meets are in the Dundee/Perth area as that seems to be the mid point for everyone.

We have so few Scottish Club Polo members that if you tried to organise a Southern Scotland meet, an Eastern meet, a Western meet and a Highlands meet there would be like 2 or 3 members turn up to each.

Thats why we just club Scotland together as a whole so we can get a decent turnout for a meet.

We have had meets at Falkirk, ayrshire, places further south before so why not Aberdeen?

I still have to travel 35miles South to get there, 65miles less than my usual 100miles to Dundee, but Aberdeen is only like 140miles from the Glasgow area isn't it? 280mile round trip? I knocked out more than that on saturday when I went to visit Buster.g40 and 13kpologt just to pick up and drop off a few parts.

This is a club about cars at the end of the day, so why are so many people against driving their car?

because its the Scottish meet, that is so far up North

:lol::lol::lol:

Falkirk would be better tbf. i aint against driving my car, I'm against the time it takes to get there!!! 60bhp aint much you know :(

Neither is 100bhp, but its plenty for doing 70mph and I'm sure 60bhp is too.

According to Google, Falkirk to Aberdeen would take 2hours 52minutes, but I've always said its not unreasonable to take 30minutes off that so say 2hours 22minutes.

Thats about the same time it would take me to get to a Dundee meet.

Whereas I'd be an extra hour on that getting to a Falkirk meet, so why should I travel all that way?

I'm not being funny but Club Polo does add about 3000miles to my car every year (Polo Show, Club meets etc)

9 times out of 10 myself and/or Toby drive the furthest distance to meets and there is no dispute we do drive the furthest to the Polo Show each year, so surely its fair to have one meet a year in Aberdeen? (Even that still takes me one hour to get to and is a 70+ miles round trip)

Myself and Toby never have or will complain about driving a distance for a meet, so why should anyone else?

60 bhp still does 70 mph as well as 160 bhp does. Falkirk might be better for you, but not for the rest of us. This meet is going to be in Aberdeen. We haven't had a Falkirk meet for a while, so if you're lucky it might be the next one after this. The group of people that tend to go to our meets are those who are happy to jump in their car for whatever reason and drive however far they want to, and our cars are built to be driven - so why not drive them?

50hp doesn't like 60, 4k+ rpm isnt great for a motor for a long time. Easy enough to stick to 60 if its a worry though.

If my car kept went allongside a bunch of other cars, ranging from 58 to 160hp, driving to a meet shouldnt be an issue.

So Aberdeen lads? Able to have a meet this month maybe?

14th Nov is a long way away.
