The R32 golf is awesome, but i want to keep my 6n,

i dont have the budget yet so it is just a dream at the moment...

but is it possible?! and has it been done?!

why not buy an r32? as sounds like by the time you've got the money to do the conversion you could buy one? It would drive handle and be better than a conversion?!

you can get almost any engine in a 6n with enough expertise and money. vr6 has been done so i dont see why not

id rather run evo running gear and i know its already been done.

It'd be half a ton lighter than a stock Golf R32. It'd be insane.

That's why not just buy a Golf.

6n VR6 been done various times, and R32 in MK2 Golf and Lupo.

So no doubt it can be done but obviously it will require skills.

2ltr gti turbo engine and remap it, will have more power & torque than a R32

It's worth doing for the noise factor alone!

Two of my close mates have R32's - a MK4 and a MK5..

Although the MK5 is quicker, I've remapped the other mate's MK4 and it's a better sharper drive. More raw..

I'd love one as a weekend car.. but I'd be crying at the pumps every day

It's funny considering how bad normal Mk4 Golfs are just how good the Mk4 R32 is, but IMO the Mk5 is the other way round. I've driven a few front drive Mk5 chassis cars, ie Mk5 GTI, Mk5 Jetta TDI, Mk2 Octavia vRS, and they feel so much better than the Mk5 R32!

We raced (on a private test track) from standing start another MK5 GTI.. the R32 couldn't pull away!

Granted the GTI could have been tuned, as they're very popular for remaps.. but still my mate was a bit embarrassed to say the least.
