Polo 1.4 16v 100bhp spares or repair

Hi All,

Selling my 1998 Dragon Green 1.4 16v 100bhp 3 door.

MOT still valid (think its got a few months left, but id have to check) and I'm taking the tax off it today.

The car has been in daily use untill today for the past year to commute to and from work (around a 40mile round trip). I'm selling it as spares and repair as there are things that are wrong with it or about to go wrong.

here goes...

The bodywork is in poor condition although 16v bumpers are ok woth a few scuffs and just 1 small grill missing, they could be easily resprayed as new.

the interior isnt in bad condition just needs a dam good clean and the bolster on he drivers seat has wear as you would expect for the age. It is the standard valver interior which i think in recaro? i could be mistaken.

The engine could do with a service as i gave it a service when i got it last year and thats all its had really, except for an oil change about 6 months ago. the Milage is approx 78,000. No history apart from last MOT and the bits i did last year.The gear box needs the selector re-aligning as some times its difficult to get into gear. The clutch does slip a bit if you try and put the power down too quick, so that would need looking at. And i think the brakes could do with looking at.

Both the clutch and the gear change has been like that since i got the car.

The windscreen has a crack in it from the top, coming down a few inches.

aftermarket alloy wheels, good tyres (look like splits, dont know if they are, but need a refurb)

The car is as is when i bought it, I've not done any mods etc.

Car would be good for spares/engine conversion, and I'm sure the bumpers alone are worth 100 or so quid.

I've tried to be as honest as i can.
