1991 red mk2 golf gti 8v

Featured Replies

rite up for sale is my mk2 golf gti i apsolute love this car to pieces and wouldnt not sell it but to to being unemployed and my insurance finishing i cannot afford to insure it again, and would be poinless to just have it sat on the drive so it may aswell go.

GOOD BITS. car has done 106,000 miles, 2 months mot 6 months tax, car is red and is in treally good condition for its age. slight rust just next to rear arch just bubbling not bad or rotton, no rust anywhere else, few small age related scratches and dints nothing bad at all. it is lowered on 60mm lowereing spring very comfortable ride. it has 15x7 compomotive wheels the tyres are ok but will probably need replacing by time mot comes up. single wiper conversion, arial has been smoothed off, passanger side door handle has been smoothed off, rear vw badge and the leeters have been smoothed off, g60 front arches, air filter, 4.2.1 manifold, stainless exhaust sounds really nice quite subtle but makes nice little pps as you change up and down gears. new wheels bearings done all round about 300miles ago. 2 15" mutant subs in the boot, and the parcel chelf has 6x9, 6.5, 4" and crossovers in it. if not to your taste can always be removed and recovered. headunit with usb, memory card and aux input. RAID STEERING WHEEL IS NOT INCLUDED IN SALE standard wheel will be fitted. vw chrome gear knob, sparco pedals, and white gti 8v dials which i am told these are hard to find, single light dedaged grill, red and crystel rear lights, red leather handbrake guator.

BAD BITS. they all have them, the rust bubbling near the rear arch and at the bottom off the fuel filler, can get close up pics if needed. powered steering leaks, (but i will try and get that fixed asap) and when driving you can feel a slight vibration inbetween 30mph and 50mph. i have had a look and nothing is catching and nothing is loose i have been told it might be the cv joint. also the speedo doesnt work(easy fix). drivers seat stithing has started to come undone.

and thats about all i can think off for now but if you have and questions or would like any more information just ask.

thanks dan

bump, any offers????

dan

Need to take a few pics of my 6n really but if you took all that crap out of the boot I`d maybe do a swap. Loads of tax and test, 82k, cambelt and waterpump a month ago, new shoes and bearings on the rear. Loads of other stuff done that I`ll tell you about if you are interested.

hello mate, yer i can take all the crap out the boot! i`m intrested and you not to far away? send me some pics and info that would be great.

cheers dan

Pissing with rain at the minute but I`ll take a few pics and list features/faults as soon as it stops.

A few pics that show the best and worst of the car. A few bits of rust popping up and a replacement bonnet that needs paint was`nt really a problem for me as I was planning to paint the whole car. The grey primer you can see in the pics was added to cover the rust temporarily, it isn`t filler! The paint on the tailgate covers some marks from when I removed the spoiler. I`d ideally keep the wheels if poss`.
