Venoms....

At the time i thought they where the best wheels going, but that was when i was a young boy buying fastcar and maxpower craving for a clio with a bodykit.

and the ultimate 90's style was dimma kit and bbs split rims (yes scene children, the wheels you now worship are a hand down from the 'chavs' ).

infact my mate was telling me earlier about a saxo he saw with a for sale add in the window for a pug 205 1.9 GTI with dimma kit, split rims, leather trim... 300 quid, when he told me he didn't get the phone number off the add i about shit my pAnts with rage

... he's promised to try and find the saxo agin tho, i may go saxo huntting tomorrow night on the off chance

Whenever people bring up Nineties modding it's always mentioned with crap examples - the really good Nineties cars were built really well and still have it today. It's when things when cheap and ugly in the early Noughties, as the scene got obsessed with ill-fitting kits and huge but skinny wheels that it all went a bit shit shaped.

I'll dig up some decent examples when I'm not posting from an iPhone. Seriously though some of them wouldn't take much to update. Companies like Image wheels are nothing new in the modified scene. Nineties cars often had the most mental wide rims to fill out flared arches. Wound down a little lower and with a few updates they'd be mint now. Trust me.
