One thing that i always remember from the mags back in the 90s was a story of a girl restoring an Escort Cosworth that had been fire bombed, anyone old skools remember it?. It had been petrol bombed and the insurance wouldnt pay out or something IIRC, so she spent months and thousands of pounds bringing the burnt out car back to life, ended up being sprayed canary yellow. It was in Max power i think, like a progress report every issue

pretty much was around here and this is just some backwards redneck town

there used to be a real nice 306 dimma in the corner of a back street garage we used to use, it was the owners nephews or some thing, dark met blue, cream leather, split rims, plus a fair bit of smoothing and what not, can't remember which engine it had in it now, may of been an mi16 but can't be 100% sure. it sat there for ages under few mm of dust, fuck knows what happened to it in the end
