Car Crushes

Featured Replies

For me, I've always loved Renault 5s ever since I sat in a Turbo 2 rally car at a Renault dealership party when I was fairly small. I've not yet owned one but one day I'd love to have a GT Turbo, or even a Turbo/Turbo 2. Closest I have now is some models!

Also, when I was younger - probably 10 or 11, it was year 6 - I had an obsession with 3 wheelers. Not because I liked them - more for comedy value. We used to even write down number plates of them and we even got taken by our bemused parents to a Reliant dealership! Weird, I know - but it gave us something to do on long journeys! "THREE WHEELER! THREE WHEELER!"

What about you?

i've never really been one for getting crushes on models of car, but for me it's more certain car's themselves, mostly ones that i see for sale and rally wish i could afford them.

this happened a few months ago with this 1979 datsun skyline that was for sale on retro rides...

and it happened again on Thursday with this 1976 Toyota Celica

i've never had feelings about a car before like i did with these two, i actually got butterflies in my stomach when i saw them :-(

RS4, they make me hard!

always kinda liked novas, and when i was a bit littler i wanted a toyota rav4 slammed on its arse buti obvs worked out now tht aint gnna happen! particuarly wanted a mk2 transit county, in matt black. I've grown up a tad since!

Haha you just summed up my entire life!

The boyfriend owned a Renault 5 1.4 campus (no cambelt) and oh my god I loved that car, it went from suffolk to the Isle of Wight, all around the island and home again on one tank of fuel! It had a CD player that would only eject your CD if you whispered nicely too it! All was well and good until I drove it - a few days later the fuel pump went and sadly the car was scrapped for hardly any money as it was so light.

My obsession is with anything VW so drive down the road 'CAMPER! CAMPER!' 'BEETLE! BEETLE!' 'GOLF! GOLF!' the boyfriend is starting to tire of it now!

900 Carlsson... although they never did one in a convertible from the factory, I'd convert one ;) and drop the 2.3 Carlsson lump in it. Not many people know this but SAAB made turbos a mainstream technology.

More info if you're interested in these modern classics.
