Tyre options for 6.5j rims

Featured Replies

Ok so I have some 15x6.5j et33 Wheels and I'm looking for tyres for them! I have seen 165/50 stretched on a 6.5j but I don't like the unessacary stretch look! But I don't want 195s as they will look to fat So I'm thinking about 185/45 (only seem to com in nankang nsII which I currently have in 165 and are a mediocre tyre!) or 175/50 (seen them in kumho, nexen and hankook) anyone had any of these tyres? Are they any good? Wet dry etc? Also any pictures of these sizes on a 6.5j rim would be great!

Here the only one I've found! 175/5015 kumho on 6.5j but the aspect ratio seems abit tall for my liking! A 175/45 would be perfect haha!

I think 195/45 would look ok. Theres not enough side wall to look fat with. I'm running them on my 6.5j steels.

yeh 195/45 ftw thats what I'm currently running and my god they make a difference!

yea 195 45 dont look fat. will look right

Some 195/45s have larger and softer sidewalls than others so can look a bit fat. I fitted a pair of GT Radials as a stopgap and within a few weeks managed to wear all the writing off the sidewall due to tyre flex, even with a few more PSI in them than should be.

195s might rub on my 6n tho with et33? I have et25 5.5j on the rears and they sometimes rub so these might aswell seen as tho they stick out an extra 11mm!

155/55/ to stop em rubbing :)

ET33 6.5j and ET25 5.5j are virtually the same in terms of how much they stick out from the hub. There's only 4mm or so in it.
