Figured i am going to finally de-wiper the polo, getting bored of the rear wiper collecting dirt..

Couple of questions:

1: How are people plugging the washer fluid pipe?

2: Are people using the universal glass bung from venom's (Venom Glass Bung) or are they using halfords ones?

Any Recommendations..

I just used the 25mm one frm Halfords. I just rolled up a small bit of tissue and plugged the fluid pipe then electrical taped over the end. A little primative but you cant see it and just remember not to use the rear washer lol

1. Tie a knot in it and stick a screw in the end of it

2. Get the assorted pack of bungs from Halfords

3. Buy some RainX and spray it on your rear window every time you wash your car, it repels rain which will help in the current weather conditions.

just remember not to use the rear washer lol

Just disconnect the wire to the rear washer and the stalk won't do anything :)

Is removal pretty straight forward i have ELSA but so much easier just to ask..I figure its rear boot cover off ther just unbolt the wiper from the outside and from the inside then pull off and apart?

Yeah,

1. Unbolt the wiper from underneath the outside cap, then the wiper should come off. (may need some force)

2. Then you need to remove the wiper motor, unbolt from inside underneath the boot trim.

3. Unplug electric and water, fold and tape/cable tie (or any above) the water off, also tape the electric cable to the inside of boot.

4. Fill in the hold your left with with a blanking grommit.

5. Done.

Thinking of doing this aswell, do you need the wiper to pass the MOT or does it not matter.

If the wiper is fitted it should be working for the MOT according to the testing manual! but I've never seen it tested ever!! so if it's not there I can't see any problem.

then re route the pipe to either the badge or the wing and you got yourself a water pistol for pedestrians

its great fun, thats where all my mates water went mostly lol

The halfrauds 25mm bungs didnt fit mine probally, i need like a 28mm for it to fit, anyone know where i can get one from.
