I'm trying to fit new speakers in my year 2000 polo. I can't even remove the window winders let alone remove the door cards. I know i need to prise the plastic off the handle to do that.

How do I get the winders off?

Is it a 6N or 6N2?

2000 would be 6N2 dude..

Much be useful to invest in a haynes manual..

Thankyou thats a big help. I'll try again tomorrow and let you know how i get on. Don't know what 6n or 6n2 is but i'm guessing model number?

All red rear lights?

Rear number plate on the bumper?

Will be a 6N2 if so.

If you have electric windows, all you have to do is prise out the grab handle insert, there are two screws behind that, and then if you open the door fully just by the side of the tweeter cover there is a smaller screw to un-do.

Once you've un-done these 3 screws the door card will clip out. You need to feed the door lock pin and handle out and then unclip the loom then it's free.

Had a look on the winders and they don't have the 4 notches to split them in half . Anyone know where i can find a new plan? Will a haynes manual have it in? The car does have all red rear lights and the numberplate in the bumper.

Just give it a good pull, it is a 6n2 and they will pop off the winder

What the cards come over the winder? This is what they look like -

Get your fingers behind the winder near where in joins and pull outward and up, may need some force.

Just went out to my car and did this for you.

That is a big help thanks. So you just rip it off. I'll have a do tomorrow. Was just scared of breaking something. Did you use a screwdriver or bare hands?

Yeah, just give it a pull, its pretty flexible so hard to break.

You may need a screwdriver if your not hardcore enough
