how do you do it and what do you get it back on with

piece of pi55 mate - did mine in about 10 minutes... takes about 20 to get it back in as it's a bit tight!!

simple giude?

1) unscrew and remove all sunvisors and grab handles;

2) pull the interior light down (one side first, then the other will follow) and disconnect;

3) open boot and remove plastic trim that covers the back end of the roof lining (just pull it hard, the clips are all push-fit);

4) open doors and slide your fingers between the rubber trim and the roof lining to pop the lining out;

5) do the same on all the hard plastic trim on the pillars (you may need to pull the trim away slightly, but as before the clips are all puchfit, so pull hard and they'll pop off);

6) the lining will probably be 90-100% out now and resting on your head - go to the rear of the car and remove through the boot.

Refitting is the reverse. It's the edge trims coupled with the grab handles and sun visors that hold it in place.

Simples

the man above couldn't have said it better. Remember you've to undo the seatbelt points too tho.

That's how I did mine but how did you get the roof lining looking so good what did you use fabric or paint ?

then place the fabric onto the liner a small section at a time and smooth it out (if it wrinkles just pull it up and smooth it out)

Oh I got that stuff in the van at work sure the boss wnt need it lol cheers for tha pal thought it wouldof been a real task

Very easy to do, but use Hi Temp Spray adhesive, called Trim Fix available on eBay,

here's what I did last year, it's now being changed to something top secret.

Yep, I did mine with some spray glue from Hobbycraft - exactly the same, spray both bits, wait for them to go really tacky, then lay it over the headlining. Gave it 24 hours to cure, then pop it back in!

No photos of mine in the car atm (because I'm still working on the interior), but this is what it looked like before I reinstalled:

can this guide be used on an open air model? or does it require more work to get the head lining out due to the roof? cheers

I wanted to do this to my old car but never had the effort , now i have a car thats not being used I'm going to do it. Handy how it all comes off.

Now everyones done it its going to be a "Zomg you copied me" but , each to thier own.

I'm a college student working part time to its a budget build for me :/ , Cant afford getting body work done which is a shame as it will effect the finished car , although i doubt ill finish il keep adding and adding
