'Modded' Stock headlights

So , After my crash i have a spare set of light kicking around.

I wanted to have stock lights on the next one but have them yellow.

I've taken the lenses off and given them a soak and clean and its got me thinking if i could do anything with them...

I was just interested to see if anyone here has taken the lenses off thier lights and modded them in anyway?

I was thinking of maybe putting leds to illuminate around the outer edge of the light > see picture

I thought this might look unique and diffrent unless somthing like this has been done?

Originaly i was taking the lenses off to see if there was space for LEDS to go in.

Realised I've got some LED strips with SMD things in which are very bright. Thinking of sticking the leds pointing outwards around the edge so theres like a massive illuminated ring? What do you guys think?

Soo..

I found a strip of the SMD things , I wont be using this one but its to give a quick idea. Stole a battery out a smoke alarm (which i must replace) and quickly tested it.

This is the sort of thing I'm after. I thought with the lense on this will give a nice ilumination on sidelights or on its own switch , Il be putting more in for off road use , and i really do mean off road use on thier own switch.
