Any part of the car that rotates petruding further than the body work. Its a safety thing really.

I think the theory is if you clipped a pedestrian your more likely to cause injury with a rotating wheel sticking out the arch!

The reason wing mirrors get away with it, before you ask. Is that there designed to fold back.

If you roll your arches you can get away with it. Or you can get some of those stick on arch things someone had on here for some serious offset.

Ever been hit by te mirrors on a SAAB 9000, they dont go anywhere and from the description the guy gave he would have rather been run over.
