so i picked up this black 1.4 1998 polo for £580!

practically mint apart from some heavy rust in the rear valance

so i started on it with a good clean after that i got some clear indicators and a debadged grill

and set about removing the bump strips!

i didn't have the time to ponce about with a credit cards so i just got a fudge wheel and i highly recommend it! after that i gave it a nice clean with some t-cut and it was done... next was the boot,i dewipered it and i took of the polo and 1.4cl badge off and removed the V.W badge as well and replaced it with a name badge from TKmaxx i got off my mate (i know it needs to be centralized) i put a new rear bumper on it to give it the fresh clean look and tidy it up so no more rust

its just something to make people smile when they see the car...

also put a CD/ipod/aux CD player in as well

:) :) next was wheels so i searched the selling forums and picked up some 13x6 Weller steels in cream.. i put these on and i didn't have the poke i wanted so inch spacers will be used to finish them off....

next to do is slamming (100mm) coil overs :)

smoking the rear lights

smoking the side indicators

tyres for the wellers

i also am in the middle of sanding down a bonnet and will be spraying it matte black

comments welcome.... praise or criticism but please make it constructive criticism

25mm blank spacer from halfords was like 70p mate

the white vw needs to be gently sanded so show a fade....

on a side note, what is it with people ruining perfectly good cars? I can understand it if the car already looks a bit shitty, but this was a really clean car!

tbh guys it is my car so if i like it surely thats all that matters but i see where your coming from, obviously I'm gonna get people who like it and dislike it, so its swings and roundabouts, but there are so many polos down my area that are just lowered with either mini wheels or painted steels, so i wanted sumik that wasnt common or been done in my area.... also i still have my other bonnet if i do decide to change...

personal opinon, looks nicer with the other bonnet mate, just deck it with a nice set of wheels and you will be buzzing about the car, ake it more individual than the others in your area, but i personally thinks it will make the car stand out for all the wrong reasons.

like i said just a personal opinion, it is your car after all, just here to give you pointers of how it can look better :)
