The carbs would benefit from jetting out to roughly 1.7mm when i put it in for mot it did not even register as running on the sensor - had to rev it up! will be a hell of alot quicker after jetting... takes a bit of cranking to get it started from coldwith small jets but keeping a can of easy start for those cold days will make it fire up on the first crank! If you have any questions let me know...

I also have several polo/golf spares so let me know if you need anything and would accept G40 parts in P/X

Cheers,

This mk1 with the engine is was a ridiculous amount of fun! Strong lump and pulled well, as said with bigger jets it will really fly!

only sellin due to far bigger plans fo the lil mk1

Do you have a 1.6 crank sprocket by any chance?

check if an AFH item is the same on vagcat/etka, i have a spare. not sure if pidgeon has, but he should reply back tonight

i can also add this engine flew!

Ok, will do. Dont suppose you have an old style single V crank pulley too do you? Need to swap the AEE one for one compatible with an old style alternator

hmmm I'm very tempted

How much for a full set up for my GT>

Guessing i will need the ignition stuff, pump, carbs? and i will need to make my own mani?

Would love to make my GT quick for the right money :ninja:

Prankstar - not got any spare alternator pulleys for old style sorry bud...

Grunge, looks as if they are the same, but if you could measure it across then i shall do the same. Total bugger to find these about.

And hopefully my car should fly too once this is done, as its practically the same set up!

drop me a pm some point this evening and i will have a look for you, should also have a v belt pulley for you
