So I bought it back in April 2009 completely standard

Then decided to go down this route....

and de-polo-badged too

So then bought some coilies off some dude on here, some more piccies with my phone camera....

Decided I needed a wee wheel change - 14" Polished La Castellets with grey centres....10000x better than my lupo sport wheels looked :)

Fair chuffed

Also bought some funky dice and a couple of spare stes too incase!

THEN I went back to standard stance :( Managed to clock up 12 points and needed to lie low and not get banned basically, pulled over for silly things etc, so decided to stay hidden. SO went back to hubcaps and standard suspensions!!! :(

9 months on.....

since putting the car back to standard I have lost all <3 for it. And I miss my lowz.

So I got these BBS RZ's

No centre caps though, so if anyone knows of any...let me know, even if they are bmw!

So I've had the wheels since E38....

Wheels being looked at soon to see if someone can speed up the polishing process or its going to be done by hand...!

Coilovers are arriving this week, possibly today or tomorrow, so hopefully fitted in the next couple of weeks....

Sourced a gti splitter, stickers, some vag number plate half surround things as full length plates are going back on to fill space on either side of my shortened plates, until of course (if i ever do) get a US spec rear bumper with a shortened plate recess and a smoothed front bumper!!

Also looking to get a sharan badge for the back......if anyone can help me out with this i'd appreciate it as I haven't visited the scrappies yet to get one!! Anyone know of a scrappies with one in it??

cleaning those bbs in an absolute pain, i had them on my mk1 goof many moons ago.

doing a home refurb is good, but laborious and time-consuming, I've done a few sets but nowadays id rather just pay to get them powdercoated, as if you can strip them yourself, your only looking at a tonne for getting them painted

keep a hunt out for the caps but dont pay silly prices, i sold mine for 30 quid

It is a 165 50 15 :) If you are looking for slightly less stretch than that (which is probably the minimum stretch) you can also got for a 185 50 15

Wee update -

Ever attempting to do this again, what a pain in the backside!!! But.... It does look good

Tyres were fitted to wheels too but two of them are leaking air so this needs to be sorted obviously before they get put on!!

Decided to leave the wheel refurb until next year as they will probably just get ruined over the winter

I hunted down a guy who's car I saw at edition, and turns out he owned the sticker the stand there and he made it for me, i'd link you to his website but its down at the moment!

Not a fan of the whole...wrap your wing up, dosent go with the lines of the car IMO.
