little update, my gear box shit its self yesterday so nice tow back to work , i wonder what i will be doing in the new year :)

little update got the box out :) sump off made a bit of a garurd for the sump pick up, also fitted the clutch, i am off on holiday for a few days so one of the lads said they will put it back together for me so all in all quids in :)

nearly finished just needs linishing and painting

for how much did you get cams?and what diferrences are?did you done any mods on ECU

cams were about £300 from piper, there fast road so 6-8 hp increase and the last owner said the ecu has been chiped (maped)

also got a pic of the finished modifeild sump, i have to say its now 1/2 inch thicker than normal but looks like it should be like it so thanks to rich at work :)

I haven't done alot really due to lack of money lol, but now the weather is getting beter i have started on the interior colour change :) heres a little starter pic

Did you just rattle can the pillars? If so was it a special plastic spray type? looks neat, and a lot less hassle than re-trimming them! Good job.

Yer I just took them all out, then prime red them then just satin black spray tin it's easy just takes little time and care

how did you get the front pillars out? i am having troubles getting mine out haha

un clip it all the way down then pull up and twist it towards the door, to lift it up the dash, its a pain in the ass to get out i ended up cutting the one bit but just keep pulling :)

Ok i will have to give it another try i will probably end up just cutting the clips off haha, cheers

ello mate what is running carbs and cams like ? .. got me thinking and can u feel the differance?

well if i was to be honest i never ran the cams with the carbs :( wish i still have the carbs because yes it makes loads of differance. The cams kick in at about 3-4k rmp and the carbs used to really take off from 3k and then again at about 5k so i would think the 2 working together would be good fun :)

Pillars look good mate , I've done mine with satin black and all the seals , roof lining , sun visors etc everything above your head lol sun roof everything all with satin black paint looks sweat tho . Dave

Updates nothing great but i have manged to get a repair kit for the roof and looks better than tape :) also sorted the igntion switch, getting good at them now i replace 3 in the same week at work :) i have manged to loss a centre cap so if any one knows of a ultralite cntre cap about please let me know :)

small update i managed to get hold of a better reconed gear box :) so i fitted that. i also gave her a full service the other day at work as we were quite. my on going project is a rear disc conversion. i have got every thing i need now and just need to finish off refurbishing :).

trial fit onto the ultra lites :)

I have had a good week so far managed to get the brakes striped down and painted all ready to go. alos while the welder person is not in at the mo, i took full advatage of the nice clean non dusty work shop to clean polish and wax her :).

stayed after work today and got my rear disc converion well on its way, i manged to get every thing fitted brake pipes made and and bled in 2 hours so not bad going all i have left to do is fit hand brake cable and have a look at the load valve , there is to much going to the back and it locks atm :( .

thanks yer i used mk2 golf set up because3 its smaller, there 226mm i think. the brake bias i manged to get it to free off un ajust it, it still does not realy have enought ajustment so there are to ways 1 put a inline ajustable bisa whitch means changint the brake split to front and rear or i can change the fronts a biger 280 mm g60 set up but i will have to run 15" wheels :( its not to bad at the moment it does lock something but when u really brake hard and only does it when you are below 20 mph
