And you did delete them?

And you forgot how to write a sentence that makes sense?

Great. This thread is useless without pictures....

Its like me saying.

I was driving back from work last night and i saw a whale riding a rhino in the next lane. I took a picture then my memory card formatted itself....

It would be pointless lmao!

And if it was top[ secret, what where they doing driving around a college with like hundreds of students, 99% of which have camera fones or some other modern technology capable of taking a picture.

Also, as far as I'm aware they cant make you delete anything!

Its one of the MP4-12C test cars. They might be testing a new version of the engine\suspension or it could even be a mule for something new. I think it might be engine testing. What is the other car they are making?

That designs been floating around for ages now, how is that top secret? :/

didnt you see the 59 plate? is been registered "On the Road" for a year now

Yeah they said to us top secret can we delete the picture . Yeah they where testing the new exhaust on that as it was over heating . And there doing another car in this serias they said ? Anyway just thought would put some pictures up

Cool... good spot.

I wouldn't pay much attention to number plates and the like on test cars

They cannot make you, I think they only way you have to delete pictures, is off things that can be linked to terrorist activity or something..

Could be used as a terrorist getaway car?

If it's on a public road or area they have no rights whatsoever to make you delete the picture, hence why motoring magazines are always catching these test cars.. most of their journalists actually sneak around the 'secret' test tracks..

Might just be testing some new components or upgrades.. as mentioned it's registered as a year old and the cars are already for sale, you can configure them on the Mclaren website.

I have been making bits of that car.

/pointless claim to fame

everyone saying it's been registered on the road for a year, that means nothing? remember you can buy any numberplate older than your car from the dvla.

both my parents plates start with 'r' in the old style, neither of them are from '97.

tbh, regardless of anything, it looks sick as f*ck in matt black, probably one of the worlds only 'rat' mclarens eh b-shaw? ;)

is that duck tape on the top of the drivers arch?

edit: actually theres duck tape all over it....

cool as fuck, let this man have his glory! :)

Yeah wheels was curb to fuck and duck tape all over and foil tape . Talking to some one today who workin on it and they can't get the right exhaust for it and keeps over heating lol

Got to love the satin look . Really nice car though

Should've told your little story to What Car or one of the other mags. Fair do's it's no big swoop as everyones known the shape for ages now but you'd still probs get the pic in there.

RICARDO, not Recaro. ;) The former are the Engineering Consultancy designing and building the engine for the MP4-12, the latter make car seats!

Engine thermal testing I reckon, I recognise the guy in the passenger seat. You might've spotted one knocking around Leamington too, some of the calibration engineers working on it are based at Ricardo Leamington.

didnt you see the 59 plate? is been registered "On the Road" for a year now

Yep, that's because it's an engineering car. At least one of the early cars was a chopped-up Ferrari chassis.

Actually that's on a private road at Shoreham Airport. And the Ricardo site in the background is Ricardo Special Vehicles - registered as a military List-X facility, so I'm not surprised the college are a bit worried about their students posting up pics. I take your point though - they've been driving the engineering cars around for quite a while now, so I can't imagine McLaren getting pissed off by the pics being posted up.

I've been at northbrook a while and have seen it alot motoring around well as some other camo cars :ninja: but yeah literally on hot day the open the shutters and from our library you can see all the military vehicle/ cop cars and cars like the mclaren. top secret but not very secretive. still, good pics stu!
