hey, i own a mk3 polo and atm its lowerd 40mm, would i be able to get 60mm al round do you's think on original dampers, i understand they probley wont last as long, the (dampers), but anyone a rough estimate of how long they will be ok for, a few mates of mine have lowerd theres 60mm on just springs n normal dampers and its been fine for about 1 year and still going good now? :) thanks

Aside from how long they last it will handle like a bag of shite! no telling how long they will last, depends on the condition they are in, roads, driving style, lots of things, they could be fine forever, they could piss oil straight away!

as above - three things (imo) you can't afford to scrimp on are suspension, brakes & tyres. These are what keep your car on the road.

Ignore the 'my mates have done xyz' thing, it's irrelevant. If you're lowering a car, I would always fit new dampers, uprated personally - certainly not used standard fit.

if you can't afford to do it properly, don't do it until you can bud.

Id agree with above, I waited like 12months b4 lowering mine so I could afford decent gear!
