I was coming back from Weston last night and got pulled over in Tickenham by the speed camera, i had my fogs on cause it was foggy on the motorway but left them on when i came off, the police flashed the blue lights so i pulled over and they asked me to turn off the fogs and why i was going so slow...i said that my speedo said i was going 27-30 and there was a speed camera, thankfully they were polite and friendly and took my name, ran a check and said i can carry on, anyone else had this? was my first time getting pulled over...i did shit it a bit

i got pulled once for doing the macerana at the traffic lights they were not impressed

Basically, they're fishing, find an excuse to pull you then have a look round and see if you're doing anything really dodgy.

i got that for fogs once, the copper asked me at what visibility distance should they be used, i said 100yds/m (practically the same at that distance), his reply was well done your prize is I'm not going to fine you

i drive 25 everywhere lol I've not been pulled yet tho not as a driver, me and a friend got pulled over not long ago though and a police man was telling us we HAVE been drinking, id had a coke and hed had nothing but the police man was pretty sure we were both drunk as he could smell alcohol in the car, when my friend agreed to do a breath test he gave up on trying to catch him out. cock

Fucking hell, bellends who drive round with their fog lights on are hazardous to other drivers. Simple as. If visibility restrictions constitute the use of fogs then fair enough.But the amount of times I've had some bellend driving behind me or driving towards me with their foglights on, dazzling my vision is unreal. Quite frankly it is dangerous driving and damn right people should be punished for it.

And as for them being 'driving lights' get a grip!!!! For starters driving lights are nowhere near the wattage of fog lights, they dont have the angle of projection that foglights do, and the fog light button on your switch or dash board doesnt turn driving lights on!!!!!! So that is just a pathetic excuse that they are 'driving lights'!!!

But people also driving under the speed limit is rediculous aswell....its hazardous driving at the end of the day. I mean you do it in your test and youl have minors for hesitant driving.

Again not saying they deserve to pull the gent above over for driving what he believed to be 30 (rolling radius of wheels could affect speedo readings), but defo deserves to be pulled for fogs if weatehr conditions didnt constitue the use of them.

i remember when i checked my phone a few months ago whilst driving up a dual carriageway at 2am a few months back, had it in my hand then got distracted by a car with poxy hid lights up my arse, i had tints so was hard to see and i was probably swerving side to side a bit.

nehow car was up my arse for 3 miles, pulled me over, id just dropped my mate off who spilt cider in the passenger side footwell so car stank of booze, he came over, started full blown arguing with me saying id been drinking, was all over the road etc. i said no, just breathalyse me then were both happy lol.

then he didnt breathalyse me, but he asked if i was on my phone? thanks for letting me know that you cant see if I'm on the phone or not :-D

I've drive 25MPH max on all the back roads, sometimes at like 20mph.. Purely because the roads are so bad I don't want to damage my car. The roads around Sheffield are so bad, they are literally like driving up a farm lane. Most cars, including police cars just overtake me!

Got pulled over for doing 30 in a 30 because it was a saturday night, i was ages away from town then they started saying i could run some drunk person over lol. I do hate people that have there fogs on when not needed, i crack on my full beam and blind em back or put on my rear fogs.

...It was foggy though...visibility was reduced on the motorway due to it being foggy, so i put them on, but i hadnt noticed i still left them on when i got pulled, so thats fair enough on their part, i think driving just under the speed limit isn't as hazardous as driving over, what with stopping times and such..

If I was a cop and found someone doing 25 in a 60 (I'm assuming it's NSL?) because they were worried their car was too low and going to scrape something I would definitely pull them over, and definitely get them charged with something, and definitely get their car impounded for being ridiculously unsuitable for road use.

Sheffield roads arent that bad to warrant 25mph everywhere.

I drive this in Sheffield daily, and am averaging nearly 3k a month. Yes, it decks out occasionally, but not very often.
