6n Dampness

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

My 6n seems to have leak well not exactly a leak cause the floor foot wells are never soaked its more like a dampness and it also smells of damp. I was wondering if anyone has come across this before on their 6n, Also not sure about this but, is there somewhere that could be blocked or perhaps not sealed correctly i.e. roof rail drain holes or scuttle vents something like that.

If so does anyone have some suggestions on locations that I could check !

Kindest Regards For Any Responses In Advance.

Thanks Guys !!! :)

Common prob with the 6n never managed to find out were it come from :/ I thibk it maybe somthing to do with drainage when it rains ?

Try to locate where it may be leaking and try using some sealent on it. I'd even try bathroom seleant it'll do the job no doubt.

Cheers

On mine it was the scuttle drainage holes, they were full of rotten leaves have a look in the scuttle.

^ yep ditto.

When I had a leak through the seal on the passenger door I lifted the scuttle and removed the cabin filter - the gap beneath mine wasn't massively full of rubbish, but there was some and seemed to be enough to cause the leak. Since I cleaned it out there's never been another leak, so I guess that that must have been the problem!
