some nazi in the night has ripped my filler cap off . and stolen all my petrol ! didnt think this sorta thing happened anymore ! even left the hose hanging out the car !! and I'm gutted as only filled it upo with £25 of fuel yesterday !! I'm needing to get a new one , will a universal one fit ? obviuosly it needs to be lockable like the last . but i was also wondering how easy would it be to fit a lock onto the actual flap ? so its not gonna be easy to do this sort of thing again ? hopes this is right section for this , grateful for any help !

if you fit a lock to the flap i should imagine you would have to use a locker door lock if you get what i mean (the one with a lever on the back) then you would have to work out were it would go on the filler cap and also where you would have to drill the body to allow the latch to drop in at least thats how i would imagine it

yeah I'm super bummed ! going to try find an anti siphone device , you just put them down the filler neck ! and just get a new cap , pikey scum !

Shoulda told plod - dna would be on the pipe. Not that they'd bother with forensics over nicked petrol,but still. You dont know,it could be an issue in the area and they might have done something.
