Guess what everyone?

I do have central locking, but probably the pump needs replacing. :( Trying to return the kit back to RClick at the moment.

Well, I just need to replace the central locking pump - aparently common fault. And then simply buy the Keyless Entry which is a lot easier to install.

What one did you buy previously and what one you got now?

I got the 2 door C/L , anyway it wouldnt work, might be the control unit. so i gave up and went for remote keyless (CLR669B-ULT) fitting it tomorrow!

I'm not too good on the electrics TBH so don't have a clue why it wouldn't work.

PS: Wheels are going to the polishers tomorrow.

Edited by rzezin

Have you fitted the C/L yet? did mine yesterday and it works like a dream!

Glad to hear that mate. Nah, I haven't yet. Still waiting to buy the pump. Though I don't know when it will happen. :)

Just want to say love those wheels mate..

Cheers mate. They're gonna look even better once finished. I'm picking them up from Rainbow's on Saturday and just spraying the centre caps next week. :)

lol when i first got my 6n I thought the same about the C/L pumps...

Update us when the wheels come back ;)

Do you want to see them when they come back from the polishers? Or once it's all gonna be finished - including centre caps? :)

Right, after a huge hassle with the mechanic I have finally sorted the bodywork the way I wanted it.

So, here is a list of what has been done:

*Valver bumpers

*6n2 rear lights

*Removed rear wiper

*AeroSet wiper blades at the front

*De-badged grill

*Clear side indicators

*6n2 door pins

*Smooth wings (no side repeaters)

*Smooth roof (no aerial)

*Smooth bonnet (golf mk4 spray jets instead)

*Smooth tailgate (no vw emblems and handle)

I will leave the rest to the pictures. :)

And then some idiot decided to f*ck up my paintwork - so annoyed!

Stone chip on the bonnet!

And three scratches going accross the roof!

Shame about the scratches and the huuuge stone chip. You getting it repaired?

Get some lows and some bright silver wheels and your onto a winner!

fucking hell mate!!!!! I've never seen a stone do that kinda damage =O bit annoying tbh

car looks decent enough...looks just like every other 6n but thats nice in my book ;D hahaha love it

Yea, definately getting it repaired but will cost me a bit. :(

I'm picking my mirror polished Audi's up this weekend, looking forward to that. Coilovers and the wheels will be put on after the new year. Will try to go as low as I can. :D

I'm not sure what else could it be. Though I'm sure someone has done it on purpose, not like an accidcent or something. Same with the scratches on the roof... :|

And it's not like every other 6n. :) I drive round Peterborough and didn't even see one looking similar. But you are right, they are the common mods. :)

I wouldn't say it's a stone chip, more like a brick end lol, the dent very deep? It has to be something largeish cos the scratch next to the dent had to be from the same impact and it isn't that close judging by the pics, I feel sorry for you mate, I've got a stone chip on my drivers door, right at the top where it's most noticeable, it's gone right down to primer on the original paint (through laquer, paint, laquer, paint and primer (my stepdad resprayed both sides when I first had the car)) I'm now frit to death of it rusting before I can get it resprayed or touched up :(

Shame about the scratches and the chip

Just seems like a wast having all the body work done imho! I shall tell you why

It looks like a totally stock 6n 16v! should have mayb smoothed the bumpers and done something abit different with the boot

my opinion!

Think it looks sick tbh!

all the small little bits that just make it

Now all it needs are wheels and slammage, and of course to sort that fucker of a stone chip :(

but thats the whole point of the euro scene....less is more!!!!!!!

this car has nearly identical mods too mine except that I decided to keep my boot handle for a bit more practicality.

tbh this car will look better when it is low with the polished wheels!!!! will have a modified OEMness about it =D

Is it :s surely the idea is do what you want? I cant see how making something look exactly the same as a higher spec model is euro but ok if you think so, I would say its more of an OEM look, but why not just buy and SE or 16v as standard and not spend loads of money making it look standard??

Its only my opinion, if you guys like it then cool, have fun with it, but seems a waste imho

So it's like you thinking that most of peoples' mods on their cars on this forum are a waste. Most of people use OEM parts.

Obviously the car will be lowered with the wheels shown earlier on this thread. It doesn't look exactly the same as a higher spec model at all. There are the little things which make cars different which I have already done in a way, but there is still more to come.
