I'm going to look at a car on sunday and its about 2 hours away so if i drove it home obviously i wont be insured but is there any way of driving it home legally?

nope. only thing to do is get insured on it or get it trailered. :-)

or get someone who is insured to drive any car to drive it back home but thats basically the same as getting it insured yourself!

I'd say do your shopping around for quotes now, and if you decide to buy the car ring up the insurers on the day and get covered.

Or use someone like

Probably work out more expensive that way though.

If anyone you know is fully comp, they may be covered to drive other cars, could bring them along with you? (make sure you check the small print though and make sure they're definitely covered on it)

or if you have insurance on another car just swap it over for the day other than that as stated trailer or you could get another driver to insure it for the day on there insurance
