ok so who of everyone on this forum believe that Edition 38 have a criteria of which cars can be part of there group. now I'm not sayin this because of my car only i am sayin this because i have seen prime examples of beautiful vw's on this website which i think could beat and ed38 car in a show and shine.

so what i am tryin to say is who actually likes the Edition 38 group and who doesnt?

I've had a mooch a few times and its just not my scene. They seem to have a good thing going but its too much of a bloody religion to me,I'm not interested in cars sitting there looking pretty and i have my own friends.

The Polo is a completely different car to the Golf,and if i was made up on Golfs i wouldn't care for Polos either. No different a problem from old/new Minis really,when they share nothing but a badge (short block Golfs excepted).

I dont go there because it doesn't cover my interest,so i can understand the distance between the two sites. No hard feelings from where I'm standing,i dont see the problem.

I use edition to get parts and have a look at other cars but i really dont like golfs either lol

I use it and don't see what the fuss is about. Sure there are the cliques and internet superstars but there are on a lot of sites, ED38 is no different. Apart from that there's good varied content and decent for sale section. If you want a forum full of douchebags head to the PistonHeads forum..

I think its a good site. There are a certain few scenesters who make everyone else feel like they're intruding in a big 'private-joke', but that's the worst of it.

And yeah..Polo's don't go down that well on there.

It's a good site. Granted I only use the 'Bar' section and don't really bother with Reader's Rides or any of that, but there are some sound people on there and some interesting threads / discussions...

The thing with the cars is.. it's all relevant. It's going to be harder to gain appreciation for your run of the mill Polo amongst a forum of Golf and Audi show cars.. in the same way it'd be hard for a lot of them to gain anything on a forum for high-end VAG Group cars (there's an Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini I think).

There's nothing to gain from threads like this other than to further push the forum away from others..

Have you considered getting involved in the actual community? Like most forums it's about more than just the subject matter (Polos or Golfs), it's a community and to be fair it's not as snobby as you'd think once you get chatting to people about things other than VW's.
