Yeah the groups thing happens on here slightly, but the people who I hang around with or know on here are soooo welcoming to people they haven't met, especially if

they have a love of VW's.

Saf is a prime example, the fruit loop will talk to anyone.

I enjoy going on both forums, at least on edition they seem to scare off some of the idiots that are on here from asking the same dumb arse questions all the time. Plus its nice to see some build threads of different types of cars and not just "its got coilovers and I've de-wipered it, check me out" threads.

My opinion on e38 is it's a forums that tries to cover all bases but it's users have changed it to being mostly about golfs with bit of extra content! For sale is good though! Not a bad forum all in all, it's getting cliquey everywhere especially here IMHO, seems to be some issues going on! You get that everyhere though!

went on once didnt like it if I'm honest alot of people on here are very welcoming all great people in there own right dont really understand whats gone on of late but I'm sure things will get sorted as thats the mods jobs anyway e38 seems to get alot of negative reactions so i stayed away from it

It's a shame - there is a cliquey element on here, but I've met a lot of good people, what I'd call true dubbers who are 'in it' for the love, not the money.

ED38 - is a bit of a scene forum, but they all seem to get on and they love what they love, so fair play to them I say.

ok so who of everyone on this forum believe that Edition 38 have a criteria of which cars can be part of there group. now I'm not sayin this because of my car only i am sayin this because i have seen prime examples of beautiful vw's on this website which i think could beat and ed38 car in a show and shine.

There's no criteria to meet to be part of the 'group' as you call it...E38 is run by a bunch of friends and the end of the day it's a club for those guys (myself included) who all have an appreciation for top quality dubs whether that be polo's or golfs. You can't get in just because you have a nice car or think it's run on a points system.

The forum is just something for the community.

i dont realy like ed38 i spend most of my time on c.p. polo3 and vwgolfmk1.org for the real golfs i hate all golfs apart from the mk1 to be honest (mine has a g40 engine no tall block )

i dont agree with cars been show pieces i like to see a car actualy do what its suposed to and thats been driven on the limit no point puttin stupid heavy body kits on and then tuning you engine lol no point defeatin the object of tuning it up int first place lol

There's plenty of 'performance' cars on ed38, probably more so than on here but there are also showcars, dailys, beaters etc etc, quite a variety in all. Sure the site might be more suited to owning a Golf but go to any multi-model VW/VAG forum and it always is like that, no one is gonna make you leave because you are of a different opinion..
