16v bumpers onto 8v + front fogs

Featured Replies

Hey, I know this is a stupid question I would simply find out by whipping my bumpers off and looking, but my cars at work and I need info for tomo.

Basically,

I'm fitting 16v bumpers to my 8v tomorrow, & front fogs.

Just wondering, what tools do I need to remove both bumpers & where are all the fixings.

Do I need any different ones, or extra ones for the 16v bumpers?

I'm fitting 16v front fogs, will these mount okay into the frame behind the bumper (as its on an 8v) I presume I have to fit the fogs, then the bumper?

Just some info on what tools I need to take & any other fixings I may need etc would be greatly appreciated asap!

Thankss!

Anyone

I think you need fewer bolts for the 16v bumpers IIRC.

Mine took ages to get off though because they were rusted up so give yourself enough time to have to do what it takes to get them out.

The fixing points are in the wheel arch, under the front grille and the lower grille. There are two at the top and four at the bottom.

As for tools, you need some spanners and some form of torque wrench. You'll also need some Torx bits.
