Can anyone tell me the current scrap metal going rate?

I mainly have steel, but also have a cast alloy engine.

So going rate of alloy would be good as well?

Also, i have a 1800 zetec for sale on ebay, will i get more cash back if i sell it or weigh it in?

Depends on what it is and where you go. I took some light steel in at £145/tonne last week.

The price for clean alloy is quite good at the moment I went weighing in yesterday day at my local yard and got 430 quid for about 70-80 cans of thick rolled allloy & four full buckets of brass . Steel is around 120 -150 a ton at the moment
