Me and Saf went to London on Friday night...like you do, and picked up a Golf Gti.

The next morning I had a good look over it to see what the hell I'd bought.

It needs a bit of work, but all in all it's not a bad car. The main things i'm going to try and do asap are;

- Gear linkage repair

- Rough Idle

- New interior

- Sort bumpers out

Back home...

I'm undecided on whether to put some small bumpers back on or just get atlas grey big bumpers... opinions?

Yeah I love my mk2 gti's! So much fun to drive. Can't find parts around here, its a bummer.

On sat we changed some pipes, gave the ISV a really good clean, Saf put a new earth wire on and did the timing and now he idles great and sets off a lot better.

Soooooo much fun to drive :-D

God I need some new wheels. Feel like it's 1996, and not in a good way.

Getting some parts next week, inc better bumpers. Looking out for some more original/old skool alloys, why are they so expensive at the moment. grrr.
