Jbird2009 mk4 polo project.

Model: MK4 Polo.

Engine:

Was a 1.4 8v but stripped out now.

Suspension:

Standard shocks and springs.

Brakes:

Standard 8v brakes.

Wheels and Tyres:

6n steelies.

Exterior Styling:

Standard For Now (Currently plans being made and going to carried out soon)

Interior Styling:

Fully Stripped.

ICE and Security:

Nothing.

Comments:

Had the car pushing nearly a year now were it has just sat as this is my first car and i haven't

passed yet.

Then the headgasket went so i stripped the 8v lump were it has sat ever since.

Sold all bumpers lights wing mirrors and now I'm needing to buy all new + a few other things!

Basically this is going to be a ground up build.

anyway enough rambling on, time for some pics.

So when i first bought the car back in november 2009:

Removed the slam panel as it was shagged ( please mind the engine bay)

anyway thats practically how far i got when i first got it, its more this past couple of weeks I've been working on it

and collecting some pictures.

removed the dash as i want a black one

seats out

Then the engine came out as it was pretty much dead

so its conversion time

as you can see the paint on the car is pretty bad.

so started to prep the car were me and my mate as doing a full respray

Bump strips removed

rubbed down the adesive as I'm prepping the whole thing anyway

and filled the jacking point marks and the centre seem on the sills

please bare in mind that I'm only 17 and this is my first time of doing any body work

and i know its not 100% prefect but good time for some trial and error

and thats all I've got too

currently buy bits and pieces to get it finished and should be sorting an engine out soon :)

This is a good first project and a great way to learn your restoration skills. Looking good so far and will look like a different car when you get the new front end put on.

What engine you going to fit mate? AFH?
