So far i've only seen one 6n/6n2 on this site with the rear ARB conversion, I was wondering if anyone else has done it and i'm just being daft not seeing it?

I'm looking into the whiteline kit for my 6n.

Whiteline stuff can be pretty shoddily made, do the usual culprits such as Eibach, H&R and KW/Weitec not offer anything for the Polo?

sadly not, would've loved an eibach one.

You've got that one on your mk4? Needed any modifications to fit? (since it's designed for a mk2 Golf as I recall well). Great news that they fit! I was always told they're too wide, so didn't bother to spend the money on them just to try it.

Which diameter do you use? The 25 or 28mm?

Not sure tbh mate. I got it from a breakers the was breaking an Ibiza Cupra. I didn't even know if there was an updated arb on it, I just took a gamble.

I had to fit drop links though but they came with it.

Lookin at the size of it I'd say it was prob a 28mm one cos it looks chuffin thick !

Lovin the cars handling now though !

Wondered this myself, he seems to have got an ibeefa one to fit his 6n so could be worth looking into maybe

Why not get the tape measure out and take it to the breakers?

That's what i did for my MK2 rear beam.

I dont have pics up yet but the Rover 400 turbo arb is on there,bolted on with its original rear mounts and droplinks off the front of the same car.

Has the desired effect,cost me an hour and ten quid.

I can't find a whiteline rear arb for the 6n! Only the later cars get a mention on their site. Where can I get a rear arb - apart from on a scrap rover? lol preferably an adjustable one :-)

aiy, another vote from me for a scrapyard expedition, the one i used on my back of my pickup is from the front of a vauxhall tigra, i know it's not really relevent to polos but it does at least prove that with a bit of tinkering you can get stuff like that to work (for less than £10 too)

hi, read on here some where, that a seat cupra/ ibiza ARB could fit? Been looking on E-bay and all i could fine is a lower rear strut brace but never heard anyone fitting one or seen photo's of one fitted? Would a mk2 / mk3 golf gti ARB fit or is the axle to long?

There was also a bolt-on ARB on some Skoda Felicias. It bolts to the webbing each end,very simple and out the way of anything.

I've got one in the shed,dont need it for the valver so i'll try it on the MK2. Its thinner than the Rover one,but with no bushes it may be as effective (if not as progressive).

Yeah, you need one for the Ibiza Mk3 as that's got the same size rear axle.

Never done it myself, but it's easy enough I've been told.. there is a guide on UK-Polo's but I can't remember my log in to find it!
