Wondered if any of you lot are into aircooled VWs or just watercooled?

I'm an aircooled guy but recently got my mk3 polo to use as my daily and I'm really impressed with it :)

Don't know what happened with those last two posts, compter just froze then posted it. I was going to say I'm a massive aircooled fan but can also appreciate the watercooled stuff, I've an open mind! Had allsorts, currently got a w reg polo gti.

vw rally yellow, it was built by a mate of mine in the early 90's and stored in a garage and rarely used till i got my mit's on it last year :-D

There would be the same reaction from me yes :)

I love them both.

But I know my dad is only really interested in aircooleds. He drives a mk5 golf as his daily and only ever chooses vw's but he is not an enthusiast for the watercooleds.

I love my aircooled dubs but for both coolness and easier commuting I don't think you can go wrong with a decent pumper.

If this was on an aircooled sight then I reckon there'd be a few who dislike the water cooled seen for 'invading'? the aircooled scene with regards to t4 and t5's and even t25's showing at their shows. I personally think it's more the merrier but those non dub owning fucks who show up wanting to be accepted in a show who go purely for partying can fuck the fuck off.

Having spent most of my forum time on vzi I think it'd be safe to add 'IMOHO'

I got my Mk3 Polo for the same reason as you Mabbo, as a daily driver instead of my aircooled. I'm impressed with it as well.

little gap - if i asked about waterpumpers on an aircooled site i reckon the reply would be similar but no doubt you would get the die hard who dont wanna know that watercooled exist. haha.

my first car was a bug and one day i swear i will own another aircooled preferably a t3 fasty or bug, buses are just far to expensive

I went to VanFest last year as I`ve pretty much stopped going to water cooled shows now, bored of seeing the same crap year in year out. VanFest was brilliant, such a breath of fresh air, nice atmosphere and loads of cool vans. Would love a slammed, ratty crew cab but not at those prices!
