Any info on this car?

Featured Replies

Basically I'm really interested in this car, but the guy selling it has put up the wrong mobile number, so i can't text it or ring it, and he doesn't email back. Not exactly a brilliant way to sell a car! Also does anybody have any ideas on how much i should pay for it? Cheers

That isn't a mobile number mate, all calls are diverted to the seller, it's so they don't have sellers numbers advertised on the internet. People often leave a number in the text of the ad, but not in this case. Also the ad is a month old, so it might have sold.

you could send an email to pistonheads.com and say that the phonesafe re-direct isn't working.

Cheers guys. Yeah I guessed it might have sold, but usually it says whether they are or not below the ad, still holding out hope!

I'm sure i saw that somewhere before :?

Does it even run? That engine doesnt look wired in

interesting to see what he's done with the engine mount

states in teh advert it isn't wired in, looks like it needs work to get going. looks like a nice base tho, wheels are sweet!

My bad  Although it does say "runs and drives" which was what got me confused

oh yea.. hmmm does he drive it. mostly down hills with people pushing

sally (dublass's) old derby.

he's butchered up that chassis leg for the engine mount, when he could has retained the original.

the two tone colour scheme and splitter was done by the golf+ editor, the engine, I'm not sure.

makes me sad that =[ hopefully someone will save it

Yeah that's my old one. To be fair the old engine was poop (in an old slow way) deffo needed some power...it struggled doing 50!

It was so original, you don't find cars like that often.

don't look like it would take much tidying up to make it look 'nice' tbh, i guess that way it allows him to use the original 16v alt set up without swapping and changing parts and saved him from having to make/buy a spacer plate to make the engine sit right and let him use the 3rd bolt hole.

i guess he could say the same about us when we real off the amount of stuff we had to do to retain the original mount lol

naaaaah you don't need the 3rd bolt hole  TUV approved apparently

I'm gonna eat my words one day probably..

at least i'm not the only one testing that theory

tbf i've launched the shit out of mine and it hasn't snapped yet
