Help please!!

I've tried searching, but can't find the answers that I want.

We've just bought ourselves a 2000 plate 1.0 6n2.

It's got standard steelies on it with rather tired wheel trims.

We're looking to upgrade to alloys, but I want to work out what will keep the profiles and ET similar to what we have.

The tires that are on the car now are 155 70 R13, but I need to know the wheel width and ET.

Any one know the answer?

14's - anything up to 8J will be good, with 185/55/14 tyres on 6J and possibly the 7J, but defintely 195/45/14 on the 8J and maybe better on the 7J

15's - again, anything up to 8J will be ok without arch work at the right offsets, typical 15 will be 15x6/6.5/7 and your best tyre is a 195/45/15

16's - 195/45/16 or 205/45/16 is more than likely your best tyre choice, not sure on wheel dimensions as not ran them myself

Don't bother with 17's as they'll be far too big and will look silly! :-D

Are you trying to keep the rolling radius the same as the standard wheels/tyres?
