Very Quiet hahah jus a nice pop every so often :)

All it needs now is to be rolling on teddies 8-)

get the exhaust sorted, it looks like a starting handle!

hahahaha i went in it with him yesterday and the exhaust does scrape on bumps due to its stupid design (vw obviously never thought people would lower their cars considerably, how stupid of them) so he may have to change it, and he likes jetex ones but they are expensive new, but he likes those custom single pipe upswept style exhausts you often see on mk1 golfs and the like but its even more expensive getting one custom made and he still needs to sort out the wheel situation :S

and he may get 80mm springs in the future to replace his 70mm on the front, but he's happy with it at the moment

stolen pics but an exhaust like this ->

this is why -> Linky link link

this is mine now  joe's half way through re-shelling his gt now and he needed money to get that done and i was yet to own a polo (been a member two years!) so he sold it me cheap ;) not sure whether to keep this thread going or start a new one but it won't be on the road for a bit anyway as i've just finished college and i need a job for the insurance which i have got a quote for and its quite reasonable to say this will be my first car :)

i went threw a red light n had two bold tires lol, n love the colour of the polo id love to have it :(

if you saw the condition of the paint you wouldn\'t like it  every panel has a either a load of scratches, rust showing through, lacquer coming off or in the roofs case very little paint left

it doesn\'t look bad here:

IMAG0103.jpg

but i can guarantee it isn't good

i may leave it for a bit (especially as i cant afford it) but this will have a respray in either gloss primer grey (or similar) or gloss black, i\'m leaning towards grey as i wouldn\'t have to register it as a new colour i don\'t think, i would have it done in the original colour but the paint will cost a bit more and i fancy a colour that isn\'t that common, some of you may say black is common but i haven\'t ever seen a black one before in the metal and i quite like black

also it doesn't quite look like this anymore the previous owner took a few bits off to sell to me so at some point i'll update it, but i'm still unsure wether to keep this thread going or make a new one :S

i love the colour it is pal i would offer to buy it off you if i wasnt skint :( lol

i'm skint too, i've just bought it :p but the paint it has got is definitely past it, i could post pictures of this on ratlook.com and they'd go mad over it, its probably more of a true rat than any of their cars  it needs a full respray whatever colour i go for and if i'm going to bother to get it sprayed i may aswell choose whatever colour i want, it is between keeping it this colour (if the paint is cheap), primer grey or black though

if you love this colour that much sam keep a look out for others they aren't too rare really or maybe spray whatever car you get this colour

anyway i've decided to keep this thread going now as it has all the history of how it first started etc... so yeah i bought this on sunday off of VW-JW91 (Joe) for £330 as he needed the money to get the gt he's building running, he took a few bits of of it including the badged grill, radio, all four speakers, blue handles and bits of trim, bbs ra's, and his standard airbox so he through a few bits he had lying around on including a radio, de-badged grill (most of the clips are broken), black bits of trim, 6n steels, drilled airbox and a grey set of carpets to match the grey gt interior and white/grey headlining

as it is on my drive ;)

ghetto spec hanger

short term plans: remove baby blue stickers, paint remaining blue bits black, clean and fit grey carpet, solve a few niggles out e.g. rear numberplate location

long term: respray, new back box (probs a custom one), a hint more lowerage, wheels and get INSURED!
