couldnt resist this little gem, as it completes my mk1-3 trio! i am one very happy bunny!

few tiny little bits to sort out, but these are all minor mk3 specific faults, the car runs flawlessy and i am throughly impressed, big respect to my man barney, and to jason (g-spot) for his hard work and dedication, which has made this G into quite the beast.

will take some current pics soon after a good polish =]

cheers man and aye it is, i left the adjuster rings in the rear, as id far prefer it not rubbing, plus it doesnt look right 60-60 unless the fronts got lowering top caps on em as you want a bit of rake!

woop. aye dont want it lower as its got an alloy sump and damaging that would be a mega fail! plus the perils low enough for me at 75/60

i know mate, i feel absolutely wounded for barn, hes a legend and was miserable to see it go, hopefully the magners i have him proved some consellation. but dont worry it will be looked at for the rest of my ownership, which will hopefully be for many years to come, as i cant see myself selling it

Amazing car, fairly rapid y0!

cheers big ears. fairly rapid doesnt even go half way to describing it!

I'm bored of this G40 now, think I might sign ownership over to Sal. Maybe

put some strawberry laces and chewits in there too.

  • Author

Sally, I hate you!

=D

ps. strawberry laces! where?!

You're including it in the gift to me. mwa ha ha

get a room lol

you car is a Gay40

sally - oink oink!

well the last couple of weeks have been interesting. I adore this car. period.

enjoyed myself a bit too much and ran out of fuel, i thought it was something more sinister at first, and i could have cried but it was just my own octane noobiness!

also sprouted an oil leak on sunday, the t-piece for the charger oil feed had worked its way loose and i lost enough oil to make my oil light flicker just as we were turning up as a mate, whipped out the tools, tightened it all up and topped up with 10w40 fully synth and all is good again!

full oil and filter change at the weekend, and I've got a smooth mk4 rocker cover to go on, whilst i clean up paint and detail the standard rocker cover.

also badged up as a Polo CL now :ninja:

  • 2 weeks later...

For a shell with 173k this looks absolutely mint man, sweeettt car

Nice to see you are enjoying the car :) Was gutted to see it go but glad it has gone into enthusiastic hands.

Good to see it is getting the regular service treatment. H&R cup kit under its trousers too. Shigadee shwaaa.

I'll pop down your way sometime soon Saf. Always nice to talk for fooking ages ;)

Keep up the good work!!
