Tom's Mk4 Polo- FOR SALE

Featured Replies

Hey Everyone

Just bought a red mk4 polo off jim_mk4polo which is off this site. The car is in excellent nick and obviously very well looked after by james. l used to have a saxo but was costing me to much and hated the chavyness attitude about them, so invested in summit abit more reliable and is alot better to drive than my saxo, just seems alot better built really.

thanks for all the comments and appreciation people :) i left a topic about a knocking/scrapping noise coming from the front right of the car, i had a look under the car and took the wheel off, couldn't see anything which was hitting on the chassis or any problem with the coil over =/ its not a noise with turns in time with the wheel or knocks more when turning so I'm lost :L think I'm going to take it to a garage tomorrow, any ideas about this would be great

Think iv found what the problem is, checked the top mount and u can actually turn the nut so i take it thats not good at all so I'm going to tighten it up when my dad comes home and hopefully this will resolve the problem

A nice clean black splitter would finish it off nicely me thinks..

yeah i was thinking of spraying it gloss black but was worried it would get chipped and look scabby?? what are your thoughts about wind deflectors? and anyone from cheshire off here?

Personally i'd stay clear of wind deflectors - there easy to pinch, and generally look like bolt on tat..IMO

I tried ro paint a splitter and failed, started deteriorating within a week but thats not to say you will. Might aswel buy an 8v one brand new..be like £22 or something from vw.

Might do that then!! and might invest in some gti lights!! plus the knocking scraping was the wheel bearing, gettin it fixed as i type :)

CAR FIXED :D wheel bearing replaced, wishbone bush and cv boot :( arghhhhh no money to mod for a while now :( any cheap/free mods which are good? iv seen people who spray the interior plastics, what do people think of it? maybe look abit tacky?

Usually looks tacky I reckon! As do wind deflectors.

Car looks really good as it is

yeah I'm going to be keeping it pretty much the same as it is but saving up for some gti headlights which i really want :) going to be cleaning it tomorrow so il update this with some new pictures when shes all shiney :)

^ erm as in 6n2 gti ?

If you do mean the 6N2 GTi headlights they won't fit. I think the lighting on the front of the mk4 looks fine standard. Its typical of that period. Hence why when you add lights that look more modern they can easily look tacky.

Pretty much leave it as it is and enjoy it.

Yeah you can get aftermarket ones. They look ok on some cars but on some it really doesn't look so good. I like the way your car looks to be honest.

get 1k worth of alloys :ninja:
