Satin Black Polo 6n 16v

Featured Replies

Hey,

I've decided to sell my valver after nearly 2 years of ownership. It's never ever let me down and I'll be sad to see it go, but a G40 is calling me :)

It's taxed till February 2011, and MOT till end of September 2011. The mileage is 89k.

Mods

Engine

Longlife custom stainless backbox

Suspension/Wheels

Lowered on FK Highsport Coilovers

Custom painted 14" BBS RZ wheels with nearly new tyres

Exterior

Satin black painted 6n2 electric heated stubby mirrors (both sides!)

Satin black painted 6n2 plastic roof rails

RClick remote central locking kit with VW flip keys

Dubmeister pressed plates

Dewipred rear with plastic blanking plate (not just a Halfords rubber grommet!)

Interior

16v interior in good condition

6n2 gear gaiter

Good bits

Just had new thermostat, coolant flushed + replaced

Now back on the standard injection setup with new dizzy cap, rotor arm and air filter

Bad bits

Both sills had a patch welded in for the MOT in 2009.

Passenger side electric window isn't working. I've got a new regulator, motor and mechanism ready to go on though.

Extras

I've also got a few spare parts I'll include with this.

Half finished smoothed front bumper

Spare pair of 16v rear lights

Passenger side electric window regulator

I know the Yellow is a bit marmite, so I'm respraying this Satin Black this week :)

Would also consider putting it back to the standard ignition setup and selling without the carbs on for less.

Any offers?

dont spray this car!!!!!

let me speak to my mate today and see if hes interested...its got enough done to it that he might be interested!!

top lil car this, i helped fit the carb setup, and can vouch for it running very well, especially now its using the standard bike rubbers. the inlet manifold is one of the best homebrew jobs I've seen.

<3 it! and i dont really like 6ns

Yeah Sean, just let me know. I've ordered the paint & was going to prep it tomorrow, but I'll hold off if you want it yellow.

Cheers Saf :) I'll definitely miss it when it's gone. I'd keep both if I could afford to!

yeh please hang off for a bit mate...though he liked the idea of satin black too lmao hes an odd lad at times

is the car fully yellow bar inside?? the bumper looks green in one of those pics

Hi mate I'm the lad you bought the interior, mirrors etc off, gutted I didn't see this car for myself but my dad loved it, good luck with sale :)

My 6n2s for sale aswell which is why I sold the interior etc :)

Yeah the car is fully yellow mate. It's a little bit patchy in places, but a quick once over with some more paint would sort that. When can you let me know either way?

The green bumper pic is from a meet a while back when it wasn't fully complete :)

Cheers Dave, those seats are proper comfy! Wish I could have them in my Mk3 haha.

I'll get some interior pictures in the morning and post them up.

This is satin black now :) Will get some pics up when I get home from uni later.

I noticed that the lock mechanisms were a bit stiff when I took them off the car for painting. It now has new mechanisms on both sides and they are smooth as anything :)

Also, I'm fitting a new central locking pump tonight as the old one started to whine a bit.

Need this off my drive now! Any offers?

Steve, will PM you now.

Pepe, if it doesn't sell this week then yeah I'd be interested in doing that :)

Sell me the carb setup tez!

buy the car, get the carbs free, stick on the standard injection setup and sell on!

it looked so much better yellow!!!!!!!!!

OR you can sell me the carbs as promised! :)

or the boy can do what he wants, its his car ;)

or the boy can do what he wants, its his car ;)

I'm not saying he shouldn't do what he wants... I'm meant to be buyin them today so....

Steve, just PMed you.

The carbs will be going with the car unless someone would prefer it on standard injection. As has been mentioned, you could always buy the car and put it back to injection yourself as all the bits are there. Sell the carb setup, and get a bargain valver, or sell the valver and get free carbs ;)

Is there any actual interest in buying this? I am willing to listen to sensible offers.

Cheers guys
