Well, JOM are considered the best cheap Coilovers. But saying that, they are still the best out of a bad bunch. These actually come from the same factory as TA Tekniks and Rokor so in theory are the same bar packing and colour. I have compared all three and they look identical bar colour and packing design (same box, different design logos etc).

FK AK Streets are zinc plated so in theory shouldn't rust as fast, but FK's are renound for being uber stiff and a harsh ride, plus only the fronts are Coilovers, the rears are shocks and springs.

I was in the same position as you. I went for JOM in the end due to more recommendations over the FK AK's. They are ok for cheap Coilovers. I am still left wanting better ones, but it's all down to cash flow. Everyone always say to save up and buy better/more expensive and I was adamant cheap will be ok. In reality they are just 'ok' and will just about do. But buying cheap deffinatley means buying twice.

I would deffintley go for the JOM ones. Not just because I've got them on mine but because of the comments from people; saying how good they are and how much value for money they are. I got my put on in July and haven't had a single problem with them. At first they give quite a bouncy ride but after a while they seem to settle in. They also go down really low and the handling you get from them is great.

If it helps when I was trying to decide on what coilovers to get I was in the same situation as you are. I rang VenomMotorSport up and talked to the guy that worked there. And he explained that JOM and FK are pretty much the same. He also said how hugely popular JOM are and even said there better than some of the top range ones like Weiten and KW etc.

So IMO I would personally go for the JOM ones. Your going to get a killer stance without emptying your bank account.

I'd go for JOM too.

I've got FK's on my MK6 and although the ride is hard (which is to be expected) they do handle extremely well. Car feels planted in corners. Mine are a little bouncy though but I should think they'll get better with use.
