SEAT Inca / Ibiza Cupra 1.8 20vT

Featured Replies

Right, for sale is our little street sleeper :)

We had a 1996 SEAT Inca van that had a tired SDI engine in it

Then we bought a 2001 SEAT Ibiza Cupra 1.8 20vT

After looking at them both we thought, why not reshell the whole Cupra in the Inca shell

So,we stripped the van to a bare shell, cleaned under the

bonnet, took out the bulk head and put it outside.

Then we brought the Cupra in,stripped that and cleaned the bits off.

We removed the bulkhead with servo and ABS pump etc

As the Haynes manual says, assembley is reversal of disassembley

But takes longer!

So effectively now what we have is an Ibiza Cupra in an Inca shell

Its covered nearly 87000 miles and the stereo doesnt work, think

there was an aftermarket 1 fitted that was removed before we got it.

It has ABS,traction, air con and air bags

280mm front brakes and rear discs

Flipped rear beam and lowered uprated front struts

Titted Audi TT leather front seats (air bags connected)

Central locking works and activates the alarm

Its cracking B)

......however......

The body work is a little tatty but not rotten

There is a dent above the drivers side back light

The door cards are the original van ones and need replacing with newer ones

Our plan was to buy a 2001 4 door Ibiza that had been whacked in the rear

then put the full front end off the car onto the van and use the front door cards

and electric window motors. We have the leccy windows from the Cupra but they're 2

door not 4 door so not sure if they'll work or not.

Other than a few dinks, donks and rust blisters tho the vans solid.

Its TAXed and MOTd,still as 1.9 diesel on log book

It has some 17" Allessio alloys in a dark anthracite colour

These have just been refurbed and are unmarked. 205/45 tyres

They look a bit similar to R32 Alloys

Lookin for £2700 or near offer

Call me with questions or offers on 07736 144801

Will sell for £200 less without the wheels

Can have a 196 BHP remap done for £200 if that helps

Anyway,here's the pics :)
