I'm pretty sure loud music and whatever is till about 23:00

I waIm sure if your quiet and not causing any nucence then when ever you like.

If your running your car with a loud engine / exaust / music or whatever then use your own discretion.

been told its 11pm you have to stop by, i dont mind that at all I've never worked till that late but when he's complaining at 15:50 thats just terrible!

its the middle of the day really!

What happens if your having building work done! 5:30 they might stop.

If you own the house i don't anyone can kick you out for making noise at 10 to 4.

nah mate we dont own the house its councill :/ but even then surley 10 to 4 is ok to work i mean its still even within the hours of a normal working day

it would be very hard to cause you trouble even if it was after 11pm,the police are not meant to deal with noise issues, down to the council

the council would get enviromental health to deal with it,they write letters and if the problem continues they will install monitoring equipment

thing is though by law they have to inform the person being accused in writing that they are being monitored, the day and time it starts to the finish..

so someone could blast there music,be as quiet as a mouse while the equipments in,then start blasting the music again

I've normally stopped by around 7pm anyway only once since I've owned my car I've worked up untill 10:30pm but apart from that odd time its allways been latest 8pm and he still moans and moans lol

Tell them to mind their own business

Some people just moan and moan, I used to work on building sites and people would always complain about noise, even though we started at 8.30 and finished at 5 which is well within the time set for making noise.

Ignore your neighbour.

As i said on FB

Tell them to go fuck themselves, then get the grinder out and grind something just for the fun of it.

then take your exhaust off and leave a brick on the accelerator

FIt a microphone to your exhaust and plug the speaker into their outside power supply

Only reasons they could be moaning at you at that time of day are: (1) Nothing better to do. (2) They work nights.(etc)

Either way, as long as you're not a business, and you're working off the road, there's nothing they can do till late at night. (There may be an issue if you're working in the street. I'm not sure how the law stands)

If it's because they were working nights/shifts/young children/ whatever, a reasonable discussion should sort thing sout on a personal level. (a mate of mine ALWAYS has a project of some sort on the go, and a neighbour who works shifts... he tends to be able to keep tabs on the neighbour's work pattern, and trys to keep his DIY noise down to suit.)

If they've got nothing better to do than moan that you're actually doing something, i reckon they need you to make more noise, to gve them a reason to get out more.

I'm pretty sure its 11 o clock before anyone can actually do anything. only cos threw house party once and police couldnt do anything to 11 so hammer, grind and rev away :)

I bet they are ugly as sin as well. People who complain always tend to be ugly bastards which just makes it worst.

Funny you should bring this subject up because I rang the police/council about noise outside my flat at 10pm, they said there isnt a 'line' or 'cut-off' as such. As you can tell that sent me into a rage! Depends if its a private land or public land etc etc I do believe

next time he moans, causally pick up a screw driver, look him dead in the eye while playing with it and then ask him how his cat/dog/what ever pet is getting on while staring straight into his eye's (remember don't blink, blinking is a sign of weakness), then smile and ask him if he saw eastenders last night, before turning away and laughing hysterically as you walk away.

this will mind fuck him in way's he won't even understand.

^^ i'll try that next time some old idiot has a go at me

Best approach without doubt.

I rent a unit, it is on the landlords land in his yard a stones throw from his house. Yes I pay him money, but still, we've rolled out at 2am + after a late one. All jumped in cars (not especially quite usually). Grinding gone 10pm etc. Yes its different as I give him money, but still. Never had a complaint in over a year.

Some people are just cockheads and have nothing better to do. Suggest to your neighbours that they take up full-time drug abuse if the screwdriver efforts fail!

nah none of them work nights lol one dosnt work the other works as a councill women like picking litter etc and the other works in the pub just across the road, tbf i think there just moaning twats as before abit of music got put on in the local pub and hell broke loose with them you would of thought they were about to cry or something, screaming and shouting about it because they hate music, not to sure what to do tbf because i really cant be fucked with argueing with them but i can see it going that way

Build a scarecrow in your front garden (if you have one) see how they like that.. point it toward them, maybe a professionals tool like a screwsriver in one hand, continuing the subtle theme..
